EKA DiMa Lab has joined forces with ten other partners throughout
Europe to work together in empowering the Cultural and Creative Industries
(CCIs) to embrace sustainability and innovation, fostering a transformative
journey towards environmentally responsible practices and green skills.
Located all over Europe, in Matera (IT), Rotterdam (NL), Dublin (IE), Kosice (SK), Kouvola (FI), Valladolid (ES), Venezia (IT), Tallinn (EE), Zabrze (PL), Vilniaus (LT), the partnering organisations aim to engage
actors within the European Cultural and Creative Industries, encouraging them
to transform their mindset, creative processes, and working methods in
alignment with the European Green Transition.
Funded by Erasmus+, GreenCCircle is
dedicated to ushering in a new era of sustainable development and creative
excellence through targeted training, collaborative efforts, and innovative
practices. The start of the project has been marked by
launching its innovative platform, GreenCCircle.eu.
By developing a comprehensive support scheme, the project focuses
on identifying skill gaps, creating targeted training for sustainable skills,
and establishing a robust multi-stakeholder ecosystem across 9 countries. This
approach not only enhances collaboration and innovation but also aligns with
the core principles of the EU Green Deal and the Circular Economy.
The project's ambitious goals include engaging 120 learners in a
challenge-based learning path, facilitating cross-industry fertilisation, and
developing essential tools for environmental impact assessment and sustainable
business practices. A key innovation introduced by GreenCCircle is the role of
the Sustainability Facilitator, designed to guide CCIs and other businesses
towards greener practices and greater resilience.
GreenCCircle's methodology is collaborative and inclusive, joining
forces with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Vocational Education and
Training (VET) providers, researchers, and businesses. The initiative aims to
foster a sustainability-oriented ecosystem through Living Labs, engaging over
200 participants in a shared mission to reduce environmental footprints and
promote sustainable business responses to climate change.
This transformative journey is not just about environmental
sustainability; it's a comprehensive strategy to improve market outlooks,
enhance resilience to economic shocks, and foster a culture of innovation and
sustainability within CCIs. By providing tangible insights into the improvement
of green and professional attitudes and skills, GreenCCircle is set to make a
significant impact on the CCIs and beyond.
GreenCCircle
is co-funded by the European Union.
