Join us
at DiMa Lab as a PhD student/junior researcher within the project “Journey towards the
Circular Economy: Implementing the UPMADE digital solution for the textile
circularity”.
The research project “Journey towards
the Circular Economy: Implementing the UPMADE digital solution for the textile
circularity” focuses on industrial textile waste, with a commitment to resource
upcycling. The project aims to introduce circular design, reduce textile waste
and foster transparency in textile industry, while enhancing research and business
collaboration towards circularity at Estonian, European and global level.
The project enables the adaptation of the UPMADE
upcycling system, which has already been studied for 15 years and has proven to
be an effective tool to reduce industrial waste to EU digital passport
standards. The project develops a digital solution for the UPMADE system and
training for UPMADE auditors.
The adaptation of the UPMADE system, the
development of the digital solution and the training of auditors, will enable
the system to be taken to a new level, create a network of responsible
factories and brands and prevent massive amounts of textile waste.
